Outside Edge: Cover Reveal "One More Island" and Free Promotion "Human Software"
|
Last week I completed the first draft of my new book One More Island. It's a contemporary novel about a fractured family, and a man discovering that it’s possible to start again in a town he thought he would never return to. Set in the coastal south east of England, it explores the stories families tell, the secrets they keep, and the difficult work of finding your way back to the people you’ve lost. In you've read and enjoyed Human Software you'll recognise the main character, Peter Watchett. Taking place over a decade before the events of Human Software, Peter is living back in Sandport, a town he once called home, and dealing uncertainly with echoes of the past and finding work in a deeply divided country. One More Island will be available in January 2027. I'm celebrating this milestone by making Human Software available for free until Sunday night (PST). If you've not read it yet, download it for nothing and please leave a review on Amazon. Even if you *have* already read, also do me a favour by making a free Kindle purchase and leaving me a review as that will help the algorithm. At time of writing it's already back up to #2 on this chart, with your help lets see if we can get it to #1! Over the last year I've discovered that writing a book and promoting a book are two, very different things. As I look forward to the launch of 'One More Island' I am already thinking about book three and where the growing Sandport chronicles will head next. I hope you have a wonderful summer break (or if you're in the southern hemisphere that you are keeping safe and warm) and I'll catch up with you later in the year as work progresses. |
