Outside Edge: Backman, Turning Overdrive?
|
Ok it's a lame attempt at a subject but I'm in a rush. I read A Man Called Ove earlier this year and loved it. I received this from my wife earlier this weekend and you should watch it because it's a very lovely four minutes of your time. This is also lovely but in a different way. He talks candidly about mental health and how list latest book is a darker book. That one's called My Friends and I'm reading it now and, dammit, it's probably the book that I want to write for a sixteen or seventeen year and helping them know that things aren't hopeless. Books can be about hope. The reason I'm in a rush is that I'm shortly off out to run the Amsterdam Half Marathon this afternoon. So if I'm spared that I'll think about how I can be more Backman in my writing. Have a great Sunday! |
